three monkeys enhanced the basic concept of in-store installations for the nokia n8 launch by creating the look of augmented reality. the eye catcher was the real nokia n8. mounted at the top of a pole, the nokia n8 rotated in synchronisation with a virtual phone, which was shown on a 42" plasma screen embedded in an installation right next to it. 
the highly detailed 3d model of the nokia n8 was incorporated into a custom-made presentation, which included background animation reflecting the brand, video footage, and information highlighting the key features of the phone. icons mounted below the screen highlighted specific features of the phone, such as hd or dolby digital, by lighting up in conjunction with the content of the presentation. the end result was a sophisticated, dynamic and artful installation, which attracted the attention of mall visitors. the technical set-up, programming, and design was delivered by three monkeys. |
